Waxing is not necessarily “painful”, but rather “temporarily uncomfortable”. However, people have different tolerances. Anticipating the pull of the wax can be more intense than the actual waxing itself. The slight stinging sensation only lasts a couple seconds, and each service gets easier the more consistently you wax.

For safety reasons, only the person receiving service is allowed in the treatment room. This allows us to give you the most efficient, speedy and relaxing experience. We also advise that no young children or infants be present in the room. While child care can be difficult to find when you have an appointment, understand that this is YOUR time! We wouldn’t want you worrying about hazards or accidents while you’re pampering yourself.

Any person under the age of 18 MUST have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must also accompany the first service, and approve of the type of service being performed. Any child under the age of 14 MUST have a parent or guardian accompany them to each service.

These bumps are likely ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs are hairs that have grown back under the skin instead of through the surface. This causes inflammation and results in sometimes painful bumps. The best way to discourage these is exfoliation with a scrub, glove, dry brush or other method of buffing the top layer of dead skin cells. Following up exfoliation with a serum yields the best solution to combat this issue..

A minimum of 2-3 weeks of hair growth prior to your service will ensure the most efficient wax. This way, we remove all the hair on the same growth pattern. New waxing guests (previously shaving or trimming) can expect little to no hair for 1-2 weeks, however, the hair will need an additional 2-3 weeks of growth before your next appointment..

Prices are based on the area being waxed, not the amount of hair you have.

Your hair should be 1/4-1/2 inch long. We DO NOT recommend trimming before waxing. Any hair longer than 2 inches may need to be trimmed in the treatment room, but please allow your waxing specialist to make that determination. This way, you do not risk your hair being too short and unable to be waxed..

Absolutely! We will make sure that you are as comfortable as possible during your service.

Can I get waxed if I am on medication?

There are many medications that can affect the integrity and sensitivity of your skin. Please be advised, we DO NOT recommend waxing if you are using any of the following medications:

•Accutane (generically known as: Isotretinoin, Amnesteem, Claravis, Sotret) *You must be off this medication a minimum of (6) months prior to waxing.
• Adapalene
• Alustra
• Avage
• Avita
• Differin
• Renova
• Retin A
• Tazorac
• Tazarotene

In addition to prescription medications, these products can also make the skin more sensitive. Thin, sensitive skin is more vulnerable to abrasion (skin lifting) during waxing.
